**UPDATE** We have an update on Jen for those of you asking but first we would like to say thank you from the very bottom of our hearts. Thank you for the incredible outpouring of love and generosity for our friend Jen! “WORDS AREN’T SUFFICIENT TO PROPERLY DESCRIBE MY THANKFULNESS AND APPRECIATION” - Jen Jennifer is still in hospital battling to recover from a Colectomy surgery. If you don’t know what that means….it is the complete removal of the large intestine. The reason for her surgery was a perforated bowel. The contents of her bowel was leaking into her body, which you can imagine was life threatening. This means that she will live with an ‘ileostomy’ (pouch on the outside of the body to collect stool)’ for the rest of her life. Not only is Jen trying to recover from the surgery, now she is fighting an awful infection on the inside. So, like I mentioned in the first story, Jen has a long road ahead of her. Not only physically but also mentally and emotionally. This would be absolutely devastating/traumatizing for anyone. Thank God for her Mother Carol and sister Julia for being by her side. Some people have been hesitant to donate because they didn’t fully understand the severity of her condition. We fully understand that. PLEASE know that Jen would never reach out for help unless she was absolutely desperate. Not only is she desperate but so are we to help her through this. So, we are asking again, if you haven’t donated and you have anything to spare, it’s going to a very important cause and a little help is better then no help!! “Hello friends, family, colleagues and community. My best friend and I are reaching out with hopeful hearts and hands to anyone who will respond positively to this. Tania and I (Liz),have been lucky enough to meet, know, work and stand beside one of the most beautiful, genuine and unique women we have ever met, Jennifer Freeman. Our dear friend has fallen on very hard times and very poor health. Today is day 21 in the hospital after emergency life saving surgery that left her w permanent life altering results and a life time of change and hurtles. Jennifer is a hardworking single mother of a beautiful girl who needs her. Jennifer is a PSW and worked in healthcare most of her life. She is dedicated to her career and has given love and support to her community for over a decade. She raises her daughter selflessly on her own, never asks for help or complains. Jennifer sees the positive in every situation. She unfortunately doesn’t have all the support that some of us are lucky enough to have. *The nitty gritty **E.I is not enough to make up for loss time at work and it’s becoming impossible to make ends meet. If you read this…please help. Jennifer has a long road of recovery ahead of her and her daughter needs her to be ok. We all know money is tight for so many these days so anything would be a help, even the smallest donation. ANYTHING is so helpful and appreciated. Please help our friend focus on her recovery and not worry about drowning in bills.
