Update 09.08.23- Hi everyone! Thank you all so, so much for your incredible generosity. Finn was looked after by Craig at Scooteroo in Osborne Park today, and is stoked with his new Electro scooter. The support and kindness from the community has been spectacular and so heartwarming and will not be forgotten. Appreciate you all. Love, Trish. Hi everyone My name is Trish and I work at Myskate Proshop at Cockburn Ice Arena. I am privileged to be a part of this community, and I’ve seen countless acts of kindness and support to all who are involved in the hockey family here. One of our hardest working players, Finn Morris, had his e-scooter stolen on Thursday night while he was training. Finn uses his scooter to commute to school and to the rink, and to lose his transport is devastating. Finn is an amazing kid, he’s hard working, kind and smart, and his whole family are incredible members of the community and I would love to be able to replace Finn’s scooter and ease the pressure on his beautiful family. I’m unsure yet if we’re going to aim to replace the scooter or get a different model, and if we raise enough we’re getting him a bloody good lock and finding a safe place for him to store it when he’s training. Please donate if you can! Update 6/8/23: Thank you all for the incredible donations and support, Finn and his family have been overwhelmed and humbled by it all! We are hoping to go see Craig at Scooteroo in Osborne Park this week so he can help Finn find the right scooter for him. In the instance that there is money leftover, making sure we have an extra secure lock that can’t be easily cut, the remainder will go to Finn and his family to cover the extra expenses accrued from transport costs for Finn while he hasn’t had his e-scooter. Any extra donations or shares are still very welcome, and thank you all for your kindness and generosity. Love, Trish.
