My name is Warren Loudon. I am completing the Kokoda Track in August 2024 to raise funds for Cams Cause. I was fortunate to serve alongside Cam and his loss was a severe blow to the 2nd Commando Regiment. I know times are tough so any donation will be greatly appreciated. I'll be accompanied by one of my best mates, Andrew Warren, whose grandfather fought in PNG and was enslaved in Japan during World War II. We are walking to remember the life of Cameron Baird VC MG, his sacrifice and all soldiers who have lost their lives in defending our democracy. Corporal Cameron Baird VC MG died how he lived - at the front, giving it his all, without any indecision. He will forever be remembered by his mates and the soldiers he served with in the 2nd Commando Regiment. Cam's Cause stands proudly, united as one, upholding the legacy of Corporal Cameron Baird VC MG and raising awareness and much-needed funds for soldier welfare. We choose to honour Cam by lending a hand to his beloved brothers and sisters of the 2nd Commando regiment, the brave men and women who bravely risk their lives in defence of the beautiful place that we call home.
