Hi! My name is Kirsten, and I am starting this fundraiser for my son Mike and his family. On Friday, July 14, 2024, devasting flooding hit Belvidere, Warren County, New Jersey. On Friday night a thunderstorm system stalled over the area which created flash flooding. The water rose very quickly and my son Mike, his wife Hope and their 2 little girls ages 7 and 2 needed to be rescued as the water rose to over 4ft. Thankfully they were able to get out as but they have lost their home and both vehicles and household items. The house has been deemed uninhabitable; the driveway is no longer accessible by car leaving the only way to their house is through their neighbor’s yard. Currently, Mike, Hope and their girls are staying with me which is not near to where Mike works. Their lives changed in a blink of an eye and will never be the same. Today, they were told that are not able to go back to the house. These funds will go towards temporary housing, vehicle, and overall expenses to rebuild their lives.
