To know Kelly and Elisia is to love Kelly and Elisia. Simply put. To call them servants of our community would be a vast understatement. Elisia has been a champion in education for 10+ years. She is most of our biggest fans—cheering all of us on as we try new things, open new businesses or come up with ideas on what could make Oxford better. Kelly, like Elisia, is such a valuable piece of our community. He makes sure we’re fed and keeps a smile on his face the whole time. Truly one of the kindest and most humble men you’ll ever have the pleasure of meeting. Together, they have grown Kelly’s business—Big Foot BBQ, and turned it into a town staple. Last week, an electrical fire started in their home and caused physical damage to the kitchen, and smoke/water damage to most of the rest of the house. While they have insurance to cover structural damage, the furniture and appliances ruined will need to be replaced and are not covered. They care a lot about this town and the people in it—it’s our turn to return the favor. Whether big or small, it all makes a difference.
