Even just by posting this to a friend...I'm a Canadian of Scottish parentage, living in the UK without Recourse To Public Funds, and have a 5 yr old amazing boy who has not been able to enjoy normal British life, even though he is a British Citizen. Mainly because I split from a Violent Domestic Situation. Some of you know me, some not. I suffer from Pride, Depression and Anxiety, but that's not the point. I have found it near impossible to stay in work without support from the govenment, no family or friends, and we are now facing eviction. (Nov 27) I have found two tiny cleaning jobs that either co-incide with School hours or I can take wee man along to, and am working hard to make an extra income from crochet/ jewelery/ design. I am active in local Green groups and encourage others.With my Visa status we would not be re-housed, because I am not a Citizen. My boy would lose his school, his friends. He might even lose me. And I would die if I lost him.I would not ask if it was not my last recourse. All funds will go directly to the housing association. I will be opening a wee shop on Etsy for my lovely crafts, any sponsors get 50% off, free fancy wrapping, and most likely a thank you from my wee boy too.You will be saving a family that has struggled more than their fair share.Blessings on you for reading this far, and Big Fat Blessings if you can find it in your heart to just help out a wee bit.
