We are raising money to replace the roof at The Ukiah Senior Center's Thrift Store and are asking for your support. The Thrift Store -- the Center's major source of recurring revenue -- suffered catastrophic flooding from a failed fire sprinkler system that forced the store's closure for eight months to repair & repaint walls and install new flooring. Now, we must replace the roof to avoid further damage. The Ukiah Senior Center's mission is to enhance and improve the quality of life for all Ukiah seniors, the elderly disabled, their families and caregivers, and to enable seniors to remain as independent as possible for as long as possible. With more than 600 members and hundreds of volunteers, the Senior Center provides needed socialization, emotional support, healthy living advice, exercise, entertainment, nutrition and vital transportation services to Ukiah's Senior community. Ukiah Senior Center Thrift Store receives community donations of gently used, good quality item which staff and volunteers prepare and offer for resale. The funds raised from these sales help support the many programs and activities that benefit our seniors. Over 1,400 shoppers per month take advantage of the quality & savings offered at the Thrift Store. We want to continue to provide this service to our neighbors while also producing revenue to support our senior population. In order to do this, we need to keep a roof over our head! We ask for your donation at whatever level is comfortable for you and thank you in advance for your support. New roof quote -- $35,000
