Hello and thank you for taking the time to read and share this Go Fund Me campaign for our dear friend, John Futris. John and his wife Valerie are in serious need of help right now. If you know John and Val, they are two of the most genuinely wonderful, sincere and caring people to ever exist. If you know them, then you know exactly what I mean. John has been in and out of the hospital for well over a year. His physical condition has been seriously deteriorating, and part of the reason for this is that he has been mis-diagnosed with a liver condition for the last several years when in fact, and this was only discovered in the last 4 weeks (finally) that he has a faulty valve in his heart that is leaking and urgently needs to be replaced. The leaking heart valve has caused extremely severe fluid build up and retention in his body, to the point that he can barely move and only then with severe pain. He is currently bedridden and has been for almost two months. John has been in the hospital this time for the last 7 weeks. He is currently in the Intensive Care Cardiac Unit with a full-time nurse assigned only to him. He is currently on full time dialysis to try and drain excess fluids from his body and to get him physically up to the point where he can undergo surgery to replace the faulty valve in his heart. He has tubes in the arteries on both sides of his neck for the dialysis. His wife, Valerie, and his two daughters are with him full time. Due to this physical situation and the circumstances surrounding it, John has been unable to work for over a year. As you can imagine, this has created a serious financial situation and stress for them that is miserable. Once the surgery is done, John will need to undergo extensive physical therapy in order to get back to the point of being able to physically function on his own. This will likely be some months of physical therapy. We've created this Go Fund Me to give John the help and support he needs for a full recovery and ability to get on his feet again. He's given selflessly for years to his community, friends and family. John has literally raised millions of dollars to help others. Any contribution will help and is needed and extremely appreciated. About John: Many of you know John, and have been friends with him and Val for decades. John is one of the toughest, funny, loving and best people ever. He is a loyal and sincere true friend. It’s pretty much impossible not to love him. There are three things in this world that John loves more than life itself: His wife, Val, and his two daughters, Tasha and Alana. There is literally nothing he wouldn't do for them. Just look at John's face at his daughter's weddings: John has spent pretty much his entire life helping others and his Church, and that is not an exaggeration. He has two wonderful daughters who are very active in their Church and between all of them, they have literally helped thousands of people, including donating many many tens of thousands of dollars personally to nonprofits dedicated to helping others. John has come to the defense of his friends, family and Church countless times and simply stated, he has directly helped and positively influenced the lives of many many thousands of people.
