Several people have been asking for us to make a go fund me account so they could donate and share our needs. We are so grateful and blown away by the amount of people who want to help in anyway they can. Several people already donated money toward me and the boys eating out while we are going back and forth from the hospital constantly. That was a huge blessing! Some truly amazing people are donating their time and skills in home renovations that need to be done in order for Joey to come home. For those of you who don’t know, Joey has muscular dystrophy and fell and broke his femur two weeks ago. He can’t walk or stand at all due to the pain and healing process so we are having to remodel our shower entrance to make it a roll in shower, some minor modifications to the toilet area and we had to take out the carpet in our bedroom and replace it with vinyl to be accessible to all the equipment he’ll need to be able to roll on. We had to buy some medical equipment that insurance wouldn’t cover and we’re still waiting on insurance to find out what kind of hoyer lift they’re going to approve and if it’s going to work for our circumstances. Hopefully that will not fall on us, financially. This amount will cover everything except a hoyer lift. Please do not feel obligated to donate, if this is shared to you.
