My name is James Kramer and my wife, Ava and I have been helping an Afghan refugee family of six for the past year and a half to acclimate them to the United States. This honest, hard-working, father has brought his family to the United States to make a new life for them. He served with the Afghan army against the Taliban in the protecting our American soldiers! He took three Taliban bullets defending his country and our American soldiers! He and his family were brought here by our American government to save their lives and honor him for standing against the Taliban with our American soldiers. No one in their family came here speaking English. As a matter of fact, none of them had attended school, except the oldest son for a short period of time. The father taught himself to read and write Pashto, his native language. He has worked hard at a local manufacturing company, is learning English, got a driver’s license worked diligently to save his money to purchase a vehicle. The family has four children, two of whom have serious medical problems that were not discovered until they arrived in the United States. These medical conditions require many doctors’ appointments every week. The vehicle he purchased that would seat his entire family safely, has become a money pit, and is no longer worth repairing. They desperately need a van that seats six people that will not need constant repairs. This man is a kind, loving family man and wants the best for his family. He has no place else to turn. The Taliban has already killed some of their relatives and will certainly kill them if they go back. He doesn’t make enough money to save for another van. He doesn’t make enough money to qualify for a loan. At the present time, the transmission is failing, and he can only drive at a slow speed. It could totally fail at any moment. With limited English, and GPS only giving directions for freeways, it’s making it unsafe and almost impossible for him to drive to doctors’ appointments and to work. Please help this honorable, loving and hardworking man to provide for his family by donating towards a vehicle for him so he can succeed in getting a fresh start at life in our great country!
