On July 16, Preston and I were in a car accident that has left me unable to work. Gratefully, Preston did not sustain physical injuries. However, the impact of the airbag snapped both bones in my right forearm at the wrist. I was taken to the trauma center where two days later I had surgery to insert pins and plates to reconstruct the bones. I am unable to use my right hand or arm for at least 6 weeks. Beyond that, recovery, rehabilitation, and occupational therapy is an unknown timeframe. I also sustained a hairline fracture in my sacrum (tailbone) and internal bruising to my sternum (chest). This has left me unable to drive, work and do many daily tasks. We’ve had incredible support from friends over the last few weeks but now face the coming months with no income into the household. I do not qualify for disability due to my line of work. Because of this we’re asking for assistance to meet our basic financial needs for the next few months. We are very grateful for any assistance you can offer. Thank you in advance for your kindness.
