Lawrence and Esther Hurter, together with their children Ben (16) and Sarah (15) have lived in Mtubatuba, South Africa, since 2010. They have been a mother and father to a wonderful church, a school and an orphanage. Every day about 600 children receive education, 80 people have jobs and 24 children have a loving home on the property of Grace Community Church. In April 2024, some serious threats were made against the family, compromising their safety. Because of this, Esther resigned from her position at the school per the end of May and the family travelled to Holland. They packed as much as they could into 8 big suitcases and left everything else behind, not knowing where they would end up. Currently, Lawrence and Esther are trying to determine where they want to settle for the next 6 months and how to find the right schooling for the children. We are organizing this fundraiser to help Lawrence and Esther find their feet again and to support them through the next 6 months.
