Hello, my name is Denice, I live in Las Vegas and I have a nine year old daughter. I am homeless and living out of my car. The day I became homeless, March 22, 2024, was quite a shock. Being homeless has been a difficult and overwhelming experience. The cost of living increased during the pandemic, my originally $1500 apartment became $2k when the lease was renewed. My wages unfortunately did not keep up with the cost of my housing. This led to my eviction. I don't have any friends and family to turn to for help, so here I am relying on the kindness of strangers. I am employed but don't have enough to get an apartment on my own. I recently have found some second chance apartments. I'm hoping to raise enough money for the fees and first month rent. I would love to be able to raise enough to get into an apartment before my daughter's school year starts, and for her to have her own room again. I want to make it clear my child is safe and living with her other parent and grandmother. I appreciate all the support through this tough time. Any amount is greatly appreciated
