In the early morning hours of Saturday, July 22, 2024 my sister, Harriett Moulton and her husband Allan, awoke to find their mini home in Brooklyn, NS was flooding. It was not possible to leave their home due to fast rising waters. 911 were called. Firefighters responded but could not reach them right away due to the quick rising and fast-moving waters. In Harriett’s words: “I thought we were going to die. When the water hit my waist they kept saying the boats are coming. We were in the doorway in water for 3 hours. The mini floated and turned completely around. No one could help us without a boat.” Harriett and Allan were saved by boat however their home has been lost and their insurance will not cover this catastrophic event. They need help to get back on their feet. Please consider giving to assist Harriett & Allan in replacing all that has been lost in this traumatic event.
