Matthew Summers is the beloved stepson of Becky Summers and brother of Laura Summers Norman. Last night (the 4th of July), he and his family experienced a tragic loss in a home fire in La Crosse County, Wisconsin. Luckily, Matthew was able to get his family: wife Amiee, son Parker, and their three pets out safely, however everything in the home has been destroyed. In addition, Matthew’s truck was also damaged in the fire. There is nothing salvageable. They escaped with only enough time to save themselves. The American Red Cross has helped a bit, but they are in need of funds for temporary shelter in a hotel, food, and clothing items to start and additional funds will be needed to help replace everything they had, over and above what insurance will cover. I am hoping we can pull together as a community and family to help the Matt and his family recover from this horrible event. This LFEBridge account will go directly to Matthew to help his family get back to some level of normalcy and to replace some of the immeasurable life treasures that were lost.
