My name is Ryan, my wife Ashley and I found out back in a March that she was pregnant with twin boys, Atlas and Thoren. Twin pregnancies are higher risk than single child pregnancies and we felt that from the start. In May, we found out that our twin boys had Twin to Twin Transfusion Syndrome (TTTS) a complication that arises when one twin is taking too many nutrients from mom (Atlas) and the other is not receiving enough (Thoren). Since then, we have been having weekly appoints at University of Maryland Medical Center in Baltimore, Maryland to keep an eye on this condition. On June 2nd, 2024 we found out that Thoren had stopped growing, and the TTTS had progressed to a critical stage that would put both babies’ lives at risk without medical intervention. The doctors performed an emergency fetoscopic laser photocoagulation surgery in order to stop the progress of the condition. One day later, on June 3rd, 2024 it was confirmed via ultrasound that one of our twins, Thoren, had passed away. Fast forward one month, July 3rd, 2024. Ashley has to go to the emergency room for some bleeding. Only for us to find out that her water has broken at 24 weeks pregnant. She now has to stay at the hospital under constant watch until she gives birth. Which the doctors are hoping will be at 34 weeks. during this period of time, Ashley and I will not be able to work. Having used up our paid time off for the earlier complications. Along with that, we are new homeowner, and have a new mortgage payment that needs to be paid along with other bills. That is why I am asking for any donations that can help us pay the bills through this hard time for my family. Anything at all is appreciated. Money, Shares, and/or well wishes. Thank you for your time, I appreciate you all.
