Hello, my name is Jason Vandygriff of Wichita Falls, Texas. This week a devastating fire destroyed 16 apartment units at the Forest Glen Apartments that has now left at least 40 people/multiple families homeless. One of those families affected has a personal connection to me. My co-worker and dear friend Darrell Waddleton’s son, Aaron, lived in one of the apartment units that was a total loss on the structure and all its contents. All of Aaron and his family’s possessions were lost in the fire. I’m setting up this Go Fund Me, to help the family of one of the most selfless men I’ve ever met. That man is Darrell Waddleton, who has served the citizens of Wichita County for 20 years as a Deputy Sheriff at the Wichita County Sheriff’s Office. Darrell is a dear friend and mentor to hundreds of current and former employees of this agency and considered the model of what it means to be an honest and just cop. He has done so much to help this community and his co-workers whom he has treated like family, and now I would like us to help his family get back on their feet. Aaron has had a rough go the last few years already due to suffering from deliberating medical conditions, including Sickle Cell Anemia, which he is currently hospitalized for. Now he has lost all his possessions and his home. I am asking for a goal of $10,000 to help him be able to find another residence of his own and re-place his lost furnishings and basic necessities. Anything even one dollar can help this family rebuild their lives and every cent will go to the Waddleton family. Thank you for your time and let’s give back to those who have given so much for this community.
