Hi, my name is Michele and I am fundraising for my friend Pamela Snow and her family. On Tuesday night, 7/24/23, a fire started in the bathroom vent of their house on Broad St. Pam yelled for everyone to get out and thankfully they all are ok. The family consists of 3 adults, 3 children, 1 dog, 1 cat and 1 rabbit. Her husband, Alan Snow (Snowball), is from the Cattaraugus Reservation and Pam is from Six Nations and is Mohawk. They have 3 children - 2 sons, Mokers and Maddox, 1 daughter, Serenity, and Alan's brother Beemo also lives with them. The fire started in the bathroom and spread to the attic. The house is completely uninhabitable due to smoke, soot and water damage. Water caused the ceilings on the second floor to collapse destroying personal items and some furniture. Unfortunately, they did not have renter's insurance. They have been working to clean out the house and secure what possessions they still have. They will be staying with Snowball's mom in Cattaraugus temporarily until they can find a new place or the landlord has the house fixed. This will displace Pam from her employment and the kids from their friends, etc. They had been saving for their family vacation to Florida this fall and now will have to use those savings for essential items. Snowball plays lacrosse for the Utica Yeti and Newtown and the costs associated with participating will also put a dent into their savings as well. As we all know, losing your home and your possessions, some of which cannot be replaced, is devastating. We are just trying to help alleviate the costs that they have been incurring for housing, food, travel, cleaning supplies, furniture, clothing, etc. Thank you.
