A dear friend and sister MK Sales Director of ours in the Everhart National Area, Claudia Carlin, had a devastating fire that took her families home late night on June 30th. There were 6 people who lived in this home. Claudia and her husband Fernando, who luckily weren’t home when the electrical fire started. They had just left to stay with her brother since they were leaving early the next morning for vacation, one now that will have to wait. They will need most all their belongings, and furnishings replaced. They will need a new place to live temporarily, clothes, toiletries etc, due to the home being burnt along w/clothes too that were burnt up or full of ash, smoke, or damaged by water. Claudia lived with her Father-in-law, who she helped take care of on a daily basis. He will need all new clothes, toiletries, medical supplies, furniture, etc. Her Sister-in-law and her husband and their daughter, also lived there. Joselyn is finishing up college courses and had just bought new books and uniforms; those all have to be replaced ASAP, along with all their personal belongings, and furniture. Her sister-in-law also pays out of pocket for insulin to control her diabetes, which is an added expense that can’t be ignored. She lost her supply she had in the fridge to the fire. Of course there is the demo and clean up cost that they will start to take on. I know there was no insurance on the mobile home so they aren’t getting help that way. I know we love to pull together in times of need. Well this is one of those times for sure! I was there this morning and saw first hand the loss her family is going through! Thank God they have faith, community, and each other because my goodness, what they have left isn’t much! Claudia’s husband is doing what he can to lighten the mood. All he wants is his #11 Cowboys jersey! But all jokes aside if you know Claudia at all you know she never asks for much. You also know how much she gives and gives and gives of herself for others, especially in our Mary Kay bubble. She will do, or go above and beyond for her customers, sister Sales Director, friends and family. Her Go Give Spirit is something to admire. I know she and her family would appreciate anything you could donate…And please pass this along. I know her family really could use some Love ❤️ right now! Let’s show her how much we love and appreciate all she has done for us! And if you don’t know her personally-I know it will touch her greatly that you thought of her family. **UPDATE- with the reality of the compounding expenses that are expected and present needs for this family myself and a few others have decided to INCREASE the goal! Even this isn’t going to cover the demo and removal of the old house, new house that’s brought onto the property, the new electrical pole, all new furnishings, clothing/shoes for 6 people, medical supplies and medication.
