Hey all, this is Eric Baker, full time single parent to three incredible and healing girls who have been through a lot, especially lately. Due to circumstances with their biological mother related to severe mental health, I have been a full time single parent for a long time. Unfortunately things with their mom's mental health escalated to a point where contact was becoming very harmful to their mental and emotional health and I had to make the difficult decision to eliminate most forms of contact. Subsequently, getting the girls around to caregivers has increased my fuel costs and caused us to fall behind on our bills on my single income without being able to work my second job, which previously I was able to put in long days to make ends meet. Additionally, my car is in need of service that I just cannot afford. As many of you know, I do incredibly hard work with families in homes and communities that is so important to so many families and without our car I would be unable to do this work. This is also the very last thing anyone would expect from me as its difficult for me to ask for help, but we're falling behind and I have no choice but to seek some help. So after trying multiple avenues for assistance, I find myself here. The girls are receiving no support from their mother. Once funds are diverted to the girls we will be able to establish a budget that allows for the increase in costs related to full time parenting and transportation to and from child care, which as an hour away from our home.
