Hi, I'm Liz, and I am organizing this LFEBridge for one of my dear friends: my seminary sister Terresa Ford. We graduated together from Candler School of Theology in May of 2024. We met at a Leadership Candler event before I even committed to attending the school, but our friendship was cemented and flourished as we served as partners during our contextual education as chaplains in the Lee Arrendale Women's Prison mental health unit. Here's a pic or two of the van full of first-year seminarians - we really became a supportive family on those long rides to and from the prison! During the year after we graduated from seminary, Terresa served on my Ministerial Internship Committee for my ordination process, and she made a point of scheduling monthly coffee dates for us so we didn't lose touch. On June 6, our other dear friend Libby, my son, and I helped Terresa pack a moving truck to head to do a chaplain residency in North Carolina... Sadly, while unloading the next day, June 7, Terresa fell and has been hospitalized since. Terresa had surgery last week, and is making good progress. However, once discharged from inpatient care, she will be unable to drive for approximately 4 months. Her residency has been deferred until next year, but she hopes to find employment as soon as she can get about. This is where YOU can help! I am hoping to raise $5,000 to help Terresa with living expenses until she can once again be self-sufficient after this untimely accident. Terresa has been an amazing friend and gifted chaplain, and I have no doubt that your generosity will be commensurate to her generosity of spirit!
