In the heart of Punjab, there are families facing hardships that weigh heavily on our souls. These families, tucked away in rural villages, grapple with poverty, lack of access to basic necessities, and limited opportunities for a better life. Their struggles are real, and their stories of resilience and courage deserve to be heard. At the British Organisation of Sikh Students, we deeply care for these families, and their well-being has become a cause close to our hearts. Witnessing their challenges firsthand, we knew that we couldn’t stand idly by. That’s why we have organised the BOSS National Three Peak Challenge, bringing together 12 compassionate individuals who have volunteered to take on this incredible journey. The National Three Peak Challenge is an extraordinary test of physical and mental endurance. Our dedicated volunteers will be climbing the highest peaks in three separate countries - Ben Nevis in Scotland, Scafell Pike in England, and Snowdon in Wales - all within a 24-hour time frame. Each step taken during this challenging feat is a reflection of our commitment to making a difference in the lives of the impoverished families in Punjab Through our combined efforts and your generous support, we aim to provide these families with the lifeline they desperately need. The funds we raise will go directly towards initiatives that can bring about meaningful change in their lives. Your support matters, and your kindness can rewrite the future for these families in Punjab. Let us come together, united by empathy, and turn compassion into action. Every donation, no matter the size, is a significant step towards making a difference in their lives. Thank you for being a part of this heartfelt mission to uplift the spirits of these families and bring a positive change that lasts a lifetime. Update: Gagandip Singh Lall is helping raise funds for his friend, Balbinder Singh. All funds raised will be used to help support impoverished families in Punjab. Providing them with essentials, such as: Food and Water - A portion of the funds will be allocated to providing essential food and clean drinking water to families in need. Electricity - Another part of the funds will be used to assist families with their electricity bills. This can help ensure that they have access to lighting and electricity for essential household needs. Medical Bills - Some of the funds will be set aside to cover medical expenses for families who are facing health issues and cannot afford medical care. This may include doctor's visits, medication, and hospital bills. Critical Home Repairs - A portion of the funds will be dedicated to critical home repairs for families living in unsafe and deteriorating conditions. This may include fixing roofs, walls, plumbing, providing toilets and sanitation facilities or any other structural improvements necessary for their well-being. All funds raised will be transferred to our volunteers in Punjab who will visit the families in need and allocate funds accordingly.
