Hi, my name is Sue Odrzywolski and I'm fundraising for my niece Dani and her husband Matt, if you know them you know they are too proud to ask for help. I am doing this to try to help them pay for the expensive treatments to save their Sammy who is only 11 months old. My niece Dani and her husband Matt rescued/adopted Sammy who is part Catahoula Leopard and Labrador Retriever mix dog from a shelter in Louisiana. Dani and Matt were in the process of getting young Sammy neutered until his blood work came back. Sammy has heartworms and according to the vet he was infected before Dani and Matt received him. Sammy being from the south was more than likely infected by a mosquito bite in which the mosquito was carrying the heartworm larvae. I know most people would be like it is just a dog, but to them Sammy is family and family takes care of family whether they have two legs or four legs.
