On August 3rd, 6:34 PM, I received a call. My home ablaze. I am so grateful that my family escaped the fire in time, which was ignited by an unknown cause. Currently, within our tight-knit community in Arcadia, California, our family owned and operated restaurant has served more than 300,000 customers. It was due to these loyal supporters that my family could keep the business afloat and eventually purchase the house that is currently in ruins. My father started working in our business in the 2000s as a dishwasher for 10 years before he opened his own business. At the risk of losing everything, we had to make the tough decision to pause operating the resturant. We have to figure out what to do and how to rebuild - closing temporarily and hoping it’s not permanent. I believe my parents are old-fashioned in the sense that they would rather take the fall with dignity than ask for a helping hand. This is why I have created this LFEBridge - to support my parents in this time of need.
