Friends of Abbeyfields need your help to raise money to mount a legal challenge to keep Abbeyfields safe from mounting pressure to develop 180 properties on this beautiful farmland. Despite being rejected at Swale Borough Councils Planning Committee in June 2024, the landowner could put in an appeal and we need to be ready with legal representation to fight this. Please help us reach our target of £2,000 to instruct a barrister. The rest of the money raised will go towards other legal costs and promotion of our cause by buying ad space where we can. These fields are used by both Faversham and Swale residents as a spot to walk thier dogs, cycle and just enjoy some of the last remaining green space around the town.
