Dear friends and supporters, We find ourselves reaching out to you with heavy hearts and a sense of urgency. On July 9, 2024, after just 9 days of ownership our Snap Fitness gym in Berlin, Vermont, faced a devastating blow. The shopping center it resides in fell victim to a catastrophic flood. The magnitude of this disaster across vermont is hard to comprehend, as both our facility and the surrounding area was ravaged by relentless rain. The water surged to 26 inches inside our facility and destroyed equipment, walls, and flooring. We entered into the fitness business because we wanted to build a community of people who want to feel good about themselves, to offer a safe place where health, wellness, and happiness is the main focus, this is our dream. We want to make it a reality at our Berlin location but the floods have stopped us before we really even began. This is why we humbly turn to the public, seeking your generosity and support to help us rebuild our business as swiftly as possible. The estimated cost of the damages we incurred exceeds $100,000, and regrettably, we were not protected by flood insurance, leaving us to shoulder the entire burden of repairs. With the help of some of our gym members we have tirelessly worked to clear the premises of water. there is still a long road ahead of us. With further rainfall on the horizon, we are painstakingly assessing the condition of our equipment, clinging to the hope that some of it may be salvageable. It is with humility and gratitude that we implore you to contribute whatever you can to aid us in this time of need. No amount is too small, and every single donation will make a difference.
