I am Matt's mom and he could really use your help! On July 2nd Matt was T-boned by a drunk driver - the person that hit him could barely stand-up he was so intoxicated. He refused to give the police any information, is a 2-time offender and resisted arrest. As a result, we have no information about the insurance company to file any claims. Matt sustained a back injury as a result of the accident. He works as a pit boss for a barbeque company which requires that he be on his feet an average of 12 to 16 hours each workday and he needs to be physically able to lift very heavy boxes. In addition, he has no health insurance. His injury also prohibits him from doing things that we all take for granted like sleeping in a bed, driving a car for more than about 30 minutes at a time, walking without extreme pain, cooking meals (his passion) and a host of other things. What this means is that he has no income while he is recovering from his injury which could take a very long time and ultimately require surgery. It would be so helpful if people could make donations no matter how small to help him with: Food for him plus his daughters (until they go back to North Carolina) Medical treatments that we can't get liens for Medicines that are required for treatment Payment of bills (car payment, insurance for the car and personal property taxes) Child support Etc Thank you everyone for your loving support through this difficult time for Matt!
