In the Name of Allah, Most Gracious and Most Merciful, UPDATE #3 AsSalaam Alaikum Brothers & Sisters! On this day, Monday, December 4th, 2024, the court decided, not in our favor, but to evict Masjid Kawthar who has served this community for 13 years. The rent was just too high & the landlord was unwilling to negotiate. This coming Friday, Dec 8th, will be the last Jumah at this mosque & we will then have to vacate the premises(be out) in 10 days, next week Thursday, Dec 14th. We are truly grateful & thankful for each & everyone's support, prayers & donations. Unfortunately, it was not enough to save Masjid Kawthar from eviction. Insha'Allah, as one door closes, we wholeheartedly believe another door will open! That is why we will continue the LFEBridge fundraiser to find a new location in the Crown Heights area to continue serving the Muslim community. Soon, Masjid Kawthar will have a new location in the area. Again, with your continued prayers & donations, we will succeed in our goals. "INDEED THERE IS SUCCESS FOR THE BELIEVERS". ******UPDATE***** November. 2, 2024 As-Salaam Alaikum, Dear Muslims/Brothers & Sisters, To update you all, we originally had a court date on October 12th but was rescheduled for October 30th @ 9:30, due to the landlords attorney not being able to attend. At court this past Monday the Judge has not made a decision as of yet. When the decision is rendered, by certified mail, we will share this information with you all. Again, we appreciate all the donations thus far, but we still need more financial help. May Allah reward you all for your generosity! **BY THE WILL OF ALLAH WE WILL SUCCEED** Masjid UL Kawthar, located at (695 Nostrand Avenue, Brooklyn, NY, 11216) in Crown Heights, Brooklyn, was established in March of 2011 to serve the Muslim Community in the immediate area as well as an Islamic Resource & Da’wah Center geared towards educating the Muslim youth, new converts, and introducing Islam to the non-Muslim community. The mosque has also successfully established the “Jummah Prayer” and the “5 Daily Prayers,” of which the masjid is open from Fajr (morning prayer) to Isha’a (evening prayer). Weekend classes on the Holy Quran, Islamic Studies, and Arabic (reading & writing) were offered, but due to the Impact of COVID-19, classes were canceled. With all the success that Allah has granted Masjid UL Kawthar, the mosque is now facing EVICTION. We have until October 12th to come up with funds to give to the landlord or else the doors of Masjid UL Kawthar will close PERMANENTLY! This URGENT situation needs immediate attention; therefore, we plead to the Muslim community, businesses, and individuals for immediate financial support to keep the Masjid open. The Masjid is now facing EVICTION in October. Please consider the great blessing and benefit that Allah has bestowed on Masjid UL Kawthar by helping support their humble and noble efforts. Ameen! ُهۡم ۡجٞر كَرِيٞمَُهۡم َولََعُف لۡر ًضا َح َسٗنا ُي َض ٰٱَ قََر ُضواِْت َوقُۡم صدقَُٰۡم صدِقي َن َوٱلۡا ن ٱل [57;19] As to the men that give alms, and the women that give alms, and those who lend to Allah a goodly loan – it will be increased manifold for them, and theirs will also be an honorable reward.
