Hi, my name is Aimee and I’m seeking your support. Two and a half years ago I decided to foster Lucy, a now 3 & 1/2 year old Labrador retriever from an emergency situation while still a college student. What was meant to be a temporary foster has now turned into a permanent adoption due to her sickness. After numerous tests and medical consultations which to date has cost me €1900, my worst fears were confirmed: Lucy has been diagnosed with an exceptionally rare form of primary lung cancer. The treatment plan outlined by the veterinary specialists provides hope due to her being so young. Lucy requires a complex surgery to remove the tumor, followed by potential chemotherapy sessions, but surgeons expect a full recovery if surgery goes well. The estimated cost of her life-saving surgery is €3,500. I understand adopting Lucy comes with a huge responsibility and wasn’t a decision I took lightly, however the last thing I want is for Lucy to be re-homed again. I kindly ask for your support in raising the necessary funds for Lucy's surgery and subsequent treatment. Every donation, no matter how small, will make a significant difference in restoring her to her happy, playful self. Thanks for taking the time to read her story and any shares and donations will be greatly appreciated. Aimee & Lucy
