Hi, I'm Lexie, a 20-year-old transgender individual facing homelessness and other significant life crises. I'm reaching out for your support to help me survive this difficult phase of my life. In the summer of 2024, I moved from Columbus, Ohio to Joppa, Maryland due to financial pressures. My employment struggles stem from medical issues that hinder my ability to perform physically demanding jobs. An abusive relationship with my roommate left me homeless and in debt due to prolonged unemployment. I am currently employed, but still live out of a shelter. I am earning, but not enough to be able to consider proper housing or health procedures. Your generous donations will go towards helping me continue employment and secure housing, with additional contributions covering essential medical expenses. I'm committed to transparency and am open to any inquiries. I deal with several health challenges, among them fibromyalgia, severe asthma, post-traumatic stress disorder, and untreated gender dysphoria. I am completely sober of all substances and have been unable to afford my transition since the spring of 2024. My life has been a rollercoaster with academic success despite persistent behavioural issues. I entered college at 14, and secured a full scholarship through community service and testing well. However, my journey was marred by gender dysphoria, bad influencez, and conflict with my family. I worked multiple jobs to fund my education, car expenses, and hormone replacement therapy (HRT). Unfortunately, PTSD, social anxiety, and struggles with medication dosage led to academic failure. Fearing for my rights and unable to return to school, I took out a loan and moved from Florida to Ohio, where I struggled with employment, finances, and health. I was advised to see a rheumatologist, but couldn't afford one. After moving to Maryland for a fresh start I ended up in an abusive situation.
