Hi I'm creating this page to help my neice Melissa Buchinski in time of need. Melissa's 12 year old daughter Journey was in a devastating jet ski accident on July 4th and still in critical condition. What happened...Journey, her little sister Envy 7 yrs old and Envy's dad Johnny were enjoying the holiday on a lake in Texas. Johnny was teaching Journey how to drive a jet ski, Journey on one Jet ski, Johnny and Envy on another. Envy pushed the accelerator on the jet ski she was on and it accelerated full speed and the jet ski slammed into Journey's body as she was sitting on hers. Let alone hitting her Journey was thrown off and unconscious face down in the water and had to be drug out of water and cpr was started. Journey was airlifted to hospital, had to have emergency surgery on her left leg because of internal bleeding after that had to be airlifted to University Medical Center 602 Indiana Ave Lubbock TX 79415 rm 235 (Get well cards appreciated) This hospital is 450 miles from Melissa's home, Melissa is a single mom who now can no longer work cuz she needs to be by Journey's side. Journey just got out of her 9th surgery, one of the surgeries involves amputating her left leg below the knee, others were due to internal bleeding, serious kidney problems, this one was to try to repair her shattered pelvis. Melissa needs financial help so she can stay by Journey's side, if you can possibly help her any amount would be appreciated. Also please, please pray for Envy, we can't forget how devastating this is to her and as of now Melissa is torn not being able to comfort her in her time of need also. Thank you and God bless you all. Melissa's Aunt Cindy Update: Surgery on pelvis went well, they removed her breathing Tube and she is breathing on her own. I believe they will have to start dialysis soon. They are already discussing rehab in Dallas TX. Lisa is currently staying at a friend's apartment so thank goodness she has free room but still needs help with food, gas and everything else plus has no income coming in. Her mom is also in lubbock and has a go fund me page to help her stay close to Journey even though right now she cant go in to visit, only mom right now. If your able to help her it would be greatly appreveciated also. I pray they let grandma visit soon. Update aJourney is still in icu, her kidneys have improved some but she now has a blockage in her intestins. This will cause her more time in hospital before going to rehab so her mom will her mom will have to stay longer. If you can find it in your heart to help financially it will be greatly appreciated, every little bit helps.
