I am faced with a life-changing crisis and I need your help to get through it. I am not only exhausted, but with my father’s death, I am completely financially drained and faced with homelessness within a few weeks. My father, Emerson Clark, passed away on July 17, and we are honoring his end-of-life choice of cremation. His ashes will be interred alongside my mother’s, Betty Jo, at St. Mark’s Presbyterian Church in Tucson. Because of the nearly-overwhelming anxiety and grief, I was not emotionally or even physically capable of working during my father’s illness. Before this event, I lost the client base needed to support myself solely as a massage therapist due to the COVID-19 pandemic. I am currently faced with aggravating and frustrating complications with obtaining Dad’s remaining assets from the credit union. This has created problems with not only paying for the expenses associated with his death, including his cremation, but also obtaining a Certificate of Death. It is now crucial that I avoid eviction while I make plans for a new living situation, apply for disability/SSI and food stamps, find a temp job, and—most importantly—forge a new path forward. I would be deeply grateful, as would my family, if you could help me by donating any amount to resolve some of these problems and provide some temporary financial stability (and a roof over my head) while I navigate this very stressful and uncertain new path.
