Hi my name is Rachel, I'm Joanie Wiederspiel's daughter and I'm here asking you for your help and support. Two nights ago, my mom's house was destroyed by a house fire that started in her garage. Before I get into the story - she and her dog Sunny are okay! No one was hurt. My mom was in her kitchen when the lights in the house went out around 9:30pm and she noticed thick smoke billowing into the house from the garage. She ran outside, grabbed her hose and started to douse the flames. A neighbor driving by called 911 and the firefighters arrived about 20 minutes later. Sunny Pumpkin was still in the house, confused and unsure what to do she was found by firefighters sitting in the middle of the kitchen, the house completely filled with smoke. Firefighters worked until 2am and then had to come back again at 6am when another fire broke out above her entryway. This has been so devastating. She lost so much including her car and potentially everything in her house. We don't really know what will be able to be salvaged outside of what was burned up in the fire. The whole house suffered incredible smoke and water damage and so it's just hard to say what will be saved by the restoration company. My mom has a very hard time asking and accepting help so I'm here on her behalf asking you for your support and your thoughts right now. We're at the beginning of a long and difficult road ahead.
