Hi, I'm Anne Verge and I'm fundraising for the Dodge/Weagle family - Kim, Dwight, Nicole and Marshall. On Friday, July 21, areas around Sackville River and the Bedford Place mall were devastated by heavy flooding. One family that was heavily effected was the Dodge/Weagle family. Water reached almost to the second floor of the house, and the Dodge/Weagle family had their belongings engulfed in the floodwater. All of their clothes, personal items, and even their car were lost, with no insurance that considers this a qualifying disaster. Stuck on the Bedford Highway, only blocks from home, Marshall and Dwight couldn't cross the rushing floodwater to their house. They still used their time stranded there to help move vehicles trapped in the water, all night, as the waters rose around them. The family would like to try to get some personal items, clothes, some bedding, a few month's rent & damage deposit as they try to rebuild their lives after this disaster. In this housing and cost-of-living crisis, every little bit helps!
