This is Molly, Emily's sister. I have been debating whether to post this request or not. But things are not looking up yet and I need to try to do more to help. I know there are family and friends out there who would want to know about this and help if they can. On Friday July 7, Emily and John were in a very serious RV accident. They were on their way to their next campground host job in WA, when they lost the brakes on a steep hill, ran into the trees, and flipped. They were air lifted two hours away to Portland, OR. John has been in ICU in an induced coma since arrival. He has more broken bones than I can list out. He has had multiple procedures so far and is awaiting more surgery. He is still not able to be fully awake, but is stable. Emily has been hospitalized with multiple back fractures, broken ribs, and facial fractures. She is being released this weekend, but currently has no where to stay while John is still in ICU and after. They had guardian angels with them that night. Thank God they are still with us. But they have a very long road to recovery and rebuilding. Their RV, Large Marge, is completely totaled. This is more than just their transportation, this is their home! They have worked incredibly hard towards this goal. And they just got her a new transmission a few weeks back. We are going to attempt to recover some of their belongings. From my understanding, we may not be able to get inside. Their sweet cat, KittyBoy, has been missing since the accident. We don't know if he was thrown from the RV, escaped at the accident site, or what. I have done everything I know to do as far as posting on area FB groups, getting a flyer distributed locally, etc. My second stop after visiting Emily was driving out to the site to personally look for Kitty. I pray that he is found. Even if it is just to get closure. Emily and John are true salt of the earth people. They will give you the shirt off their backs. They have made so many wonderful friends along their journey and they love living this nomadic lifestyle. Right now they need to concentrate on recovery and healing. They have lost everything and I want to help ease the worries of both where they are going to stay during their physical rehab and then rebuilding their life when they are able to get back on the road again. Anything you can contribute is sincerely appreciated. All prayers are being readily accepted as well. Thank you so much.
