Hi, my name is Danielle, co-owner of Extreme Airsoft in RI. I have put this fundraiser together for a very special group of young men. As you may know, Extreme Airsoft opened a new, state-of-the-art, competition field in 2024. Along with this new field, many local teams have formed and have become the backbone of competitive airsoft on the East Coast. These teams travel to other facilities like ours (when they can afford it) competing in numerous leagues all over the country. Our "house" team, East Coast Energy, came together in 2024, consisting of a few employees, and some "regulars" that had all become friends. Their first time competing as a team was in January 2024 in Indiana where they placed 11th out of 15 teams. Rather than feeling defeated, they got to work. They practiced every week, improving and growing. They then traveled to Tampa, FL in February where they placed 2nd, pushing them to 6th out of 19 in the US Standings. They lost due to a few logistical mistakes which fueled their drive even harder. The next tournament in March was held at Extreme where they won first place pushing their standing to 2nd out of 22 teams in the US. Unfortunately, due to funds, they were not able to attend the final seeding tournament in April in California. Even though they did not participate, they were only bumped to 4th out of 28 teams. This standing qualified them for the US Championships. We were all so fortunate that Extreme was chosen to host the 2024 US Championships making it more affordable for the entire team to participate. After three days of teams battling it out, East Coast Energy "ECE" finished ON TOP and became the first-ever NSL US Champions! Nick "Zues", TJay "Bread, James "Hollywood", Tristan "Abstrakt", Matt "Coco", Cullen "Kodak", Aaron "Peyso", Neeko "Azore", Ryker "Hammer", Ryan "Snoman" and Zach "Hades" have taken time away from family and work and have paid out of pocket to chase this dream and grow their sport. They've bought plane tickets, rented houses & cars, paid tournament fees, broken their gear, and more! Through all of the financial struggle, they have had the time of their lives growing as a team, growing as a family. They are more than teammates, they are brothers and we want to support them through their 2024 competitive season. They have worked so hard to get where they are and could use some financial support. This brings us to their next chapter... THE GLOBAL CHAMPIONSHIPS!! This will be hosted at the birthplace of NSL, Realstrike Arena, Netherlands. This October, ECE will compete against several other teams from all over Europe for the top spot. The winner of this tournament will go home with the title of BEST IN THE WORLD. We are working on raising funds to cover the cost of all 11 teammates to go to Europe and compete for one week. Here is the breakdown of anticipated costs... Airline Ticket - $600 each Housing (1wk) - $300 each Car Rental (1wk) - $100 each Food (1wk) - $200 each Extra Baggage/Shipping Gear - $50 each Misc - $100 each Many family members will be going on the trip as well but will be financially responsible for themselves. Any funds raised above the goal will go towards the 2024 Travel Season. The team will be doing fundraisers over the next couple of months to help ease the financial burden of this once-in-a-lifetime opportunity. Every little bit helps!
