Hi, my name is Kristy. I am setting up this gofund me for Camp Killoqua. Last evening there was a tragic event that did significant damage to the lodge and destroyed the deck that was attached to it. The building houses the kitchen area where meals are prepped for kids and staff. Unfortunately, it isn't safe to be in the kitchen for now. Due to this situation there will not be resident camp this week. Due to the week of resident camp not being open, this has also put a large dent in income due to lost revenue. However, the need to feed the staff is still present. Approximately 50 staff, 3 meals a day for at least a week. Many of the staff are injured, and needed to be evaluated by the hospital. Noone is seriously injured, but are sore. Fortunately, no campers were on the grounds at the time of this event. This camp and the staff mean the world to my family and I. They have all become family to each other and great friends to the camper and families they have touched over the years. My daughter has attended resident camp here for over 10 years and gained so much from her experiences. I am asking if you can in any way, please help out this camp So many expenses are going to be encountered to returned things to the way they were not to mention the loss of revenue, meeting all needs of the daily living for the staff as well as other unknown expenses. 100% of the funds will go directly to the camp for the, needs, meals, restoration, etc Thank you in advance!
