Help bring Ukrainian refugees to Illinois! Hello! My name is Greta Gosnell and my family and I live in central Illinois (Mahomet, IL). We have applied to sponsor a Ukrainian refugee family in our home under the “United for Ukraine” (U4U) program currently in place for those who are impacted by the war in Ukraine. The family consists of three generations…grandparents and their son/daughter-in-law, and a 12 year old granddaughter. Unfortunately, the men are not allowed to leave the country because they are serving in the Ukrainian Army on the front lines, but we are planning to host the women here in our home until they can be reunited and support themselves independently here in the USA. They hope to stay in the US permanently long term. Although the conditions of their humanitarian parole allow them to receive public benefits once they arrive in the USA, we would like to raise some funds to cover their plane tickets to the US once the travel authorization is granted by US Customs and Immigration (USCIS). ***I’ve posted these pictures with their permission***THANK YOU for any assistance you can provide!
