Hello, my name is Alma Poroj. In the early hours of Monday, July 17th, my husband and I were getting ready for work like any normal day and I went to take a shower and when I got out I noticed he was crying and unresponsive. I tried several things to wake him up and see if he just fell asleep but all my efforts failed. I decided to call 911 and they got there quickly and were able to stabilize him and take him to the hospital. When they got there they took him into emergency brain surgery where they found a lot of bleeding in his brain. They successfully completed the surgery five and a half hours later and he woke up the next day. since waking up, he had a machine breathing for him, a feeding tube inserted and until five days ago he was unable to move any part of him. He is now able to move a couple of fingers and breathe on his own without the machine. They had to keep a part of his skull off to let the swelling go down in which he has had to fight fevers and fluid in his lungs from the bacterial infection he acquired. We are starting this go fund me to help take care of my daughters and me while he recovers in the hospital and I continue to take care of them while working a full time job during the week. Any donation is appreciated to help pay rent, for groceries and bills due to now only having one income instead of two so suddenly.
