Earlier this year Eric and I were introduced to a Ukrainian family who had fled the Ukraine and were setting up their new life here in Regina. While donating some basic home items/furniture we were struck by the gravity of their situation. We also marvelled at their optimism and gratitude. They left with their three children, one of whom has disabilities. They would like to continue the care they received in Hungary, Budapest and get their son the eye surgery he needs. Please consider donating to help this family in a difficult time. Any small donation makes a difference. Thanks, Eric and Brianne Urzada Down below is a message from his mother: Hello, My name is Matiash Kateryna, I am a mother of three children (two daughters and a son). My son Bohdan was born with congenital cataracts of both eyes, deafness of both ears, syndactyly of both hands and a congenital defect of the chest - a funnel-shaped curve. During the previous years, 4 eye operations, 2 hand operations, and an ear operation - cochlear implantation were performed. We still have an operation on the right eye ahead of us. Because the artificial lens has shifted. And the operation to align the chest, because, as the ribs grow, they put pressure on the heart and internal organs. We turn to caring people for help. Your donations will enable Bohdan to see clearly and rejoice with us. Thank you
