On August 5th, Sam and Ashley were wrapping up their vacation celebrating Ashley's graduation. While sitting at the airport to return to their home in Hesperia, Ca, Sam received a Ring notification. An officer informed them that their house was burning down. With Sam and Ashley thousands of miles away, their hands were tied. They did all that they could to coordinate help before they were in the air and unreachable. Of their 2 beloved pets, 1 was pulled out quickly, and the other was pulled out of the burning home 30 minutes later. Both suffered severe smoke inhalation and had trouble breathing. Both are hospitalized at this time, and the vet bill to stabilize them has surpassed $6k. In addition to the loss of their home and the vet bills, Sam's car was parked close to the garage, and the excessive heat from their burning home melted the front end of his vehicle. Sam and Ashley arrived back in California late last night with their suitcases, never imagining that this would be everything they had left to their name. Words can not describe how devastating this loss is. The Hart-Hood home is a total loss and will need to be rebuilt completely. Sam and Ashley are already experiencing challenges and will be facing many more in the weeks and months to come. Your kindness and generosity to help them through this devestating event is greatly appreciated and every little bit counts. Please keep them in your thoughts. Thank you!
