Gam Zu Chaff, Tzefat Israel Chabad on Gamzu is run by Rabbi and Rebbetzin Yitzchok Meyer and Leah Lipszyc. The Rabbi and Rebbetzin were sent on shlichus by the Lubavitcher Rebbe to Crimea, where they were on shlichus for 25 years. When Russia invaded they were forced to leave, leaving behind their community, home, and all their possessions. Now they are on shlichus in Tzfat. The Rabbi and Rebbetzin are always there to help, guide, host and speak to whenever s anyone needs. They are now also working on a welcome center for the Kever of Rabbi Nochum Ish Gamzu, a Tanna who was the teacher of Rabbi Akiva, which is on their street, so that whoever comes to visit the kever has somewhere to sit, have some refreshments, rest up, and use the facilities. As a Chabad House, the Rabbi and Rebbetzin host a great many guests for Friday night and Shabbat lunch meals. There is a minyan there as well. The rabbi and rebbetzin are always happy to help and are just a phone call away if we or anyone else needs something. They work very hard to cater to everyone who comes to them either for Shabbos meals, classes, one-on-one learning, sleeping arrangements or someone to talk to. In honour of our anniversary, my husband and I want to help Gam Zu Chabad in Tzfat. To help them continue doing all the things they do, especially developing the Rabbi Nochum Ish Gamzu Welcome Center and catering to all types of Jews who come for Shabboses. Gam Zu Chabad needs your help! Thank you!
