My dad has passed away very suddenly from small cell lung cancer. His wish was to be buried, and unfortunately because this was so quick and sudden, we do not have all of the funds. We are asking for donations. Any amount would help tremendously. My dad, David Tyson Alan Sr., was diagnosed with small cell lung cancer on July 12, 2024. He went to the hospital in June for back pain, and the doctors kept telling him it was just pain from a previous spine fracture. They gave him some Tylenol and a steroid and sent him on his way. He kept getting worse and eventually went back into the hospital on July 8th with a significant amount of pain all over his upper abdomen, back, and sides. He told them something was wrong with his kidneys and liver so they decided to do a CT scan and saw lesions on his kidneys and his liver was enlarged. They admitted him and scheduled a MRI. After that scan they saw a tumor on his lungs, lesions on his ribs, and lesions on all of his thoracic vertebrae. He was sent for a liver biopsy a couple days later and it came back as small cell lung cancer. He was supposed to go see oncology on Tuesday for treatment, but because his liver was so riddled with cancer, he became jaundiced. Fast. On July 8, his bilirubin levels were 4.9. By July 14, it was at 12.4. He got discharged July 14 and was sent home with hospice care. He declined so fast… it was so sudden. He passed at 9:20 AM on July 16, surrounded by family. My dad was the best father anyone could ask for. He took in and raised children who were not biological of his. He worked hard and made sure all of his kids were taken care of. He was the strongest, most kindhearted, bravest, and most generous man. He deserved more than what he got. His life was cut too short. We will all miss him, we can’t even believe something like this has happened. If anyone would like to donate directly to me, my cash app is $AmberSpeas
