Sasha and David, lifelong fighters for justice, artists, animal lovers, weirdos, and sweethearts, survived an accident on Friday, July 14. Their car-- a “this is our significant, big-deal, long-term investment in a reliable vehicle”-- purchased new-to-them last year was completely totaled, and part of their home damaged, in a fire. They have no insurance to help cover the loss of their car, and need support to get a new-to-them vehicle. I have known Sasha and David for almost a decade. Our time together has included protesting at Trump’s Inauguration, organizing banner drops to raise awareness about water rights, facilitating direct action trainings, and making and distributing mutual aid medicine packages across the country. And that’s such a small window of their lifelong commitments to personal and collective healing, which includes projects from Rising Tide and the Beehive Collective to EarthFirst and the Icarus Project. I invite all who are able to work with me to offer David and Sasha some of the same mutual aid, collective care, and radical love they freely offer others. Let's help them return to having some reliable transportation, and send them wishes to be well, taken care of, and mobile!
