Hi, my name is madeline. July 6th we found out that our house had been foreclosed. My stepdad inherited the home. He did not pay a loan he took out against the house, but neglected to tell us. My mom, my 10 year old sister, and I had no idea we were about to be homeless until it was too late. On July 17 an eviction notice was posted on our front door that we had until the 20th to get our stuff and get out. We did all that we could getting our personal belongings and animals out of the house safely. The crew of people who came to empty the contents of the house carelessly tossed priceless heirlooms and antiques into a pile in the yard. Most items were broken and destroyed. As of now we are all couch hopping with a 10 year old. We desperately need to scrape together enough money to get a place to live asap. My 10 year old sister doesn’t deserve this, if there are any questions feel free to ask.
