We are raising money to feed 1,000 people in Fort Worth and every dollar you donate goes directly to a meal for a neighbor in need! Taste Community Restaurant (a 501(c)3 non-profit) is a volunteer-staffed, donation-based restaurant focused on feeding our community. This is the sustainable solution to ensure none of our neighbors go hungry. Nearly 500,000 people in Tarrant and the surrounding counties face hunger. Many hard-working families are challenged to put food on the table and often parents skip meals to make sure their children get something to eat. At Taste, the menu does not have prices but instead uses a unique “pay what you can” system. Sometimes 25 cents is all someone can afford to pay, or a few dollars for a family of 4. Through donations like yours, Taste is able to provide delicious (and nutritious) meals to neighbors in need in a welcoming atmosphere. Taste has fed over 150,000 people since its opening in 2017 and sometimes feeds over 1,000 people in a week. I’ve been volunteering at Taste for over 2 years and can attest to the powerful impact they are having on our community.
