My name is Fr. Steve Giuliano, a Catholic priest in Delaware. I do not usually do this, but I want to share with you an opportunity to help a friend of mine, Fr. Wilson Moreno, a priest in Colombia. I have known him for many years since we are both part of the Focolare Movement and lived in Italy at the same time. He is now working at a seminary in Colombia. Not too long ago, his mother, who was living in the mountains, had a horrible experience. Her home was broken into, she was bound, gagged, and beaten. They robbed her of everything. Father Wilson was about five hours from where she was living, and he quite naturally wanted her to move closer to him. He found a tiny rental unit, that has only a door and no windows. He knew this was not a permanent solution, so he was able to locate a small apartment for sale for $40,000 (US). He was able to gather $7,000 for a downpayment and was able to get a loan for almost $23,000, so he is still short $10,000. If he does not get that within 3 months, he will lose the apartment and the down payment. As I said, I don’t usually do this, but I do not have the funds to help him myself. I would like to offer you the opportunity to help Fr. Wilson so that he can take care of his mother. She is 80 years old and lives alone, and he is the only one who is able to assist her. If you can help, any amount will be appreciated. No matter what, I ask you to pray for her and him so that they will be able to understand God’s will in this situation and accept it. Thank you so much for your consideration. God bless! THANK YOU SO MUCH! WE REACHED THE GOAL AND FR. WILSON'S MOM WILL BE ABLE TO HAVE A SAFE PLAC3 TO LIVE. GOD BLESS YOU ALL!!
