Hi. We are Kadejah and Jeffrey. We share 3 kids, with 2 other kids who regularly come to visit. July 1st, 2024 two walls of our foundation collapsed during a rainstorm. The sewer drains in front of our house did not remove the water, but instead allowed it to pool around our property. We are first time homeowners and have only owned this house for a 1 year & 9 months. The City of Geneva, NY has NOT shown any interest in helping us willingly. We need 30K to help pay for our foundation as well as our appliances that were damaged and a place to stay in the meantime. We worked hard to put ourselves in a position to purchase that house. We take very good care of our our property, we’re doing everything we can to fight for it. It sucks that we have to turn to our community for support when this tragedy could have been avoided with proper sewage maintenance. If you cannot afford to help us financially, please consider calling Geneva’s City Hall (315-828-6550), and ask them why they haven’t tried to help their tax paying locals? The people who know us personally know how hard it is for us to ask for help. We asked for help when it came to getting your son his kidney transplant, but other than that we are usually the ones helping others. Today we are asking, not only for ourselves, but for our babies. Thank you
