Dear friends, a very dear family in the Hawaiian Islands has suffered a crushing blow with the destruction of their home. This was the home of the grandparents of the children pictured here. This home was the primary gathering place for the Pai family. This was the place where both family and community gathered weekly sharing meals, love, and support. Every week they supported those who needed a place to rest, to shower, to be fed, and to have their spirit nurtured. The destruction of this home has left the beloved grandparents without a home and no resources to begin again. They have a temporary room with a loving friend, but that will not be a long term solution. This has been absolutely devastating to this entire family and left these children in great distress not having their home with their “kupuna” (grandparents). I am humbly asking every precious able heart to join me in a donation (any amount helps) to assist these grandparents in finding and being able to pay for adequate housing ASAP. The magnitude of this loss is difficult to encapsulate. Everything they had was wrapped up in this land and home and in a sudden moment it all vanished. I deeply thank you in advance for your kind and generous donations to assist this family in having resources to find a new home ASAP. THANK YOU FOR YOUR LOVING KINDNESS. May God bless and keep these precious hearts and guide them to a safe place to flourish. PLEASE HOLD THIS PRECIOUS FAMILY IN YOUR PRAYERS. I share here the Lord’s Prayer in Hawaiian: E ko mākou Makua i loko o ka lani, E ho'āno 'ia Kou inoa, E hiki mai Kou aupuni, E mālama 'ia Kou makemake ma ka honua nei. E like me 'ia i mālama'ia ma ka lani lā. E hā'awi mai iā mākou i kēia la I 'ai nā mākou no nēia lā. E kala mai ho'i iā mākou i kā mākou lawehala 'ana Me mākou e kala nei i ka po'e i lawehala i kā mākou. Mai ho'oku'u 'oe iā mākou i ka ho'owalewale 'ia mai, E ho'opakele nō na'e iā mākou i ka 'ino. [No ka mea, Nou ke aupuni, a me ka mana, a me ka ho'onani 'ia, a mau loa aku] Āmene.
