On the night of July 27th, my father and his wife had a tree fall on their mobile home in Windham, CT. It was rotted at the base and came down during a storm. The tree came through the ceiling, into the bedroom, and fell right above the bed where my stepmother was laying at the time. She was taken to the hospital after a piece of sheet rock hit her head, but thankfully no serious injuries were sustained. This unfortunate event has put them out of a home for the time being. The house was originally purchased and renovated with ADA accommodations for their needs. By residing in that community, both my dad with Parkinson’s Disease and a TBI, as well as my stepmom who requires Dialysis treatments and relies heavily on her wheelchair, receive so much support from their friends in that community. It is a very special place to them, so we would love if they could remain there if possible. A few people have asked if they could help during this time, so I wanted to create this page for any contributions that will be put towards unexpected costs. Keep them in your prayers, anything helps. Thank you!
